East Side Posse – UK Old Skool Hip Hop

Many, many years ago (well, about 22 I think) I got myself a copy of this tape made by a group calling themselves East Side Posse. Back in 1986 Record Mirror magazine published what they called, “Hip Hop – An indispensable guide to the only new music of the Eighties – the history, the faces and the future“. Not much info about this event was available on the Internet for ages and then a couple of years ago some audio rips appeared on Soulseek. Freestyle ‘85 – Covent Garden, December 1985

I’ve had this heap of unlabelled video tapes sat next to me for months now. I could vaguely recall what was on them, but couldn’t be totally sure. Inquisitiveness finally got the better of me, and I dug out my old VCR from it’s retirement spot in the garage.
