Just a quick post to mention that I’ll be adding video/mp3 clips to many of the old skool hardcore entries in discogs over the next few weeks. I spent some time trying to nail the quickest and easiest way to create individual vids for each track – and succeeded. With the addition of youtube’s bulk upload facility, it shouldn’t take long to get quite a few online and tagged on to the appropriate discogs entry. I did a trial run on 2 releases last night :

It’s time for a bit of a vinyl clearout at iamdek central, so for the next few days you’ll find a whole bunch of classic tunes up for grabs on Ebay. You’ll mostly find Easygroove classics from 91 to 93 plus a few ragga jungle tunes I had sitting near my desk.

Hetzer on discogs suggested, “Computing a *relative* Score = Wanted By/Owned By, i.e. the higher this score is the more obscure is the release.” might throw up a nice list of obscure tunes … and he’s not wrong! So that’s the final list of ‘wanted’ tunes I’m going to run off. I’ll try and think of a few more useful things to do with this data. All suggestions gratefully received.
