Just a quick post to mention that I’ll be adding video/mp3 clips to many of the old skool hardcore entries in discogs over the next few weeks. I spent some time trying to nail the quickest and easiest way to create individual vids for each track – and succeeded. With the addition of youtube’s bulk upload facility, it shouldn’t take long to get quite a few online and tagged on to the appropriate discogs entry. I did a trial run on 2 releases last night :

I downloaded and installed the Genki YouTube Comments plugin only to find it didn’t work in my current version of Wordpress (2.6.1). The problem line in the genki_youtube_comments.php file appears to be 137
$source = file_get_contents(”http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/$videopost->meta_value/comments”);
Isolating this I found the file_get_contents was returning FALSE even though the supplied request is valid. Now, this could be my installation of PHP that’s causing the problem, but in case someone else wants to use this great plugin and is having the same troubles, here is the fix you’ll need to get it working.
